The U.S.S.R.

The United Soviet Socialist Republics was a communist country that existed in Eurasia from 1922 to 1991. They were in World War 2 from 1939 to 1945. They were allies with America. Then they were in the Cold War with America from 1945 to 1991. The Cold War ended when the USSR in 1991. The USSR then became known as Russia and the Cold War was over.
